Charlotte Cowell first found her way around the industry as editor of various magazines in the Toy, Greetings Cards and Art Licensing sectors, and then spent a number of years working behind the scenes on world-class retail trade exhibitions and ground-breaking online publications, at the very heart of the industry. Charlotte now works on a freelance basis offering media consultancy, copy and feature writing, product and event reviews, affiliate marketing, social networking and PR services to the trade.

 

 

 

Kathy Krassner, owner of Krassner Communications, is a longtime industry veteran who has been the editor of various U.S. trade magazines in the stationery and gift industries. She currently serves as Director of Communications for the U.S. Greeting Card Association as well as Editor-at-Large of Gifts & Decorative Accessories magazine, and is a board member of Gift for Life, the industry’s charitable organization.

 

 

 

Creative adventurer Jane Means started a gift wrapping service whilst a florist in the mid 90’s.  After gaining her teaching certificate she started running Gift Wrapping workshops at her parents’ Lincolnshire watermill. Country Living Magazine did a small feature and within a year Jane and her team were wrapping gifts at the busy Country Living Fairs. As the gift wrapping business is very seasonal she designed her own range of ribbons – now sold online and wholesale –  filmed her first DVD, ‘The Art of Gift Wrapping’ and has designed a ribbon collection for Liberty. Regular clients include Selfridges, Crabtree and Evelyn, House of Fraser. She has also worked for a well known French Fashion house throughout Europe, wrapped a gift for the Queen, worked at Highgrove and personally gift wrapped for various celebrities. She has been featured in many glossy publications and regularly appears on radio and television.

Sue started her career as an illustration agent in 1984, following a BA in History of Art at Sussex (1983). She has extensive experience in licensing heritage art brands and knowledge of copyright. With 20 years experience as a best-selling designer, Jehane has sold & exhibited her work widely. Studying Textile Design at Winchester School of Art – BA Hons (1994), she has designed for international clients including Stewo, Crowson Fabrics, Medici, Penny Black, Jung Design, Glitterwrap, Boots, Gallery Five and The Great British Card Company.

  1. Hello;
    I’d like to be reviewed in Gifts and Greetings, but am not sure if you accept humor? My greeting card line is the only one in the world to feature dogs in cars, with funny and sweet captions.

    This is in response to Charlotte’s post and suggestion to send a jpg or two, but won’t bother you if you don’t focus on my sort of work.
