Oliver Heath to support Eco-Trail at Top Drawer

Eco-conscious TV presenter Oliver Heath will once again lend his support to Top Drawer’s Eco-Trail at the forthcoming exhibition, due to take place on January 13 – 15 at Earl’s Court, London.

Oliver’s environmentally friendly seal of approval will recognise products on display at the show that are ethically produced, fairly traded, biodegradable or reusable and ideally made of sustainable materials. Exhibitors who make the grade will be clearly marked with the Eco Trail certified by Oliver Heath sticker (pictured), to facilitate the sourcing process for retailers keen to be green with their product selections.

Oliver Heath comments: “As we have seen over the last 6 months social media is having a big impact on the way we communicate and see the world around us in general. This increased communication makes the world a little smaller and helps us to better understand the situations that others are living in. As a result it’s ever more difficult to ignore the social, financial and environmental issues that are taking place.

“Whilst we can choose to filter this out, it inevitably seeps into our daily consciousness and impacts in a variety of ways- not least about the way we buy, consume and even decorate our homes. Knowing how a product was made, by whom and under what conditions brings us closer to a product through narrative. Understanding how we will use it, how it fits into our lives and even how we can dispose of it allows us to choose products that fit into our moral and practical beliefs.

The Eco Trail at Top Drawer edits this search for you- helping you to find cutting edge products and retailers that believe, like your customers, that there are better ways of doing things, ways that are really worth telling the world about:”
