The retail brand, which trades as Shurman Retail Group in the US, will open one of its distinctive, high-end stationery outlets in the Bluewater shopping centre in March, in what used to be a Clinton’s store. Dominique Shurman, who heads of the SRG, was appointed CEO of Clinton’s in June 2012. A further Papyrus outlet is already to appear in the Westfield shopping centre and more are in the pipeline.
Clinton’s has already opened a 35,000 sqft distribution centre at the company’s Loughton head office, relieving many suppliers of the previous arrangement that saw them delivering product directly to Clinton’s outlets up and down the country. The centre will make it easier for smaller suppliers and overseas companies to deal with the business.
SRG owns 400 stores in the US and 397 Clinton Cards outlets in the UK.
