Carte Blanche opens its first store in Southampton

carteblanchestorepicWhenever Tatty Teddy is involved, hoards of excited people usually follow. Saturday’s opening of the very first Carte Blanche store was no exception, as Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends helped Carte Blanche Chairman & Founder, Stephen Haines, cut an aptly coloured blue ribbon to officially open the store at The Marlands Centre, Southampton for its first day of trading.
The event attracted crowds of fans, eager to meet Tatty Teddy and his friends and to pick up the latest ranges amongst Carte Blanche’s broad brand portfolio, which includes Me to You, Violent Veg, Back Chat, Pickle Parade and Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends amongst others.
There were smiles all round as excited crowds enjoyed the opening day offers, ripped open their exclusive event day goody bags and had their pictures taken with Tatty Teddy and My Blue Nose Friends characters.   Children were enchanted by the blue nose parachutists ‘flying through the air’ and friendly staff were on hand to demonstrate the latest new innovations in cuddly toys – Blue Nose Friends that talk to each other! The queuing was worthwhile as ‘shoppers’ all left smiling and free balloons and gift vouchers for a future visit were a sparkling finishing touch to a great shopping experience.
Tim Keeping, Marlands General Manager commented, ‘We are thrilled to welcome Carte Blanche to The Marlands. As the crowds proved on Saturday, the store is certainly a pull to shoppers and we feel sure, with the exciting events, launches and promotions the Carte Blanche team have planned, that the store will continue to be a must visit destination within the mall.’
Carte Blanche chose The Marlands as the location for its first retail venture as it offers a vibrant, family-centric shopping environment in a key location, open seven days a week and an ideal location to showcase Carte Blanche’s multi-generational brands.
