Up and coming cute brand Bebunni is about to go to another level with the TV launch of a new licensed craft range by Crafters Companion on Virgin, Sky, Freesat and Freview. The brand is the lead character in Crafters Companion’s birthday celebrations for 2013.
Bebunni Ltd is the property of Terry Harvey, who is well known in the industry as a successful independent retailer with a number of greetings card/gift stores in the South of England. The first license was a greeting card line was launched in October 2012 by The Great British Card Company following the success of Terry’s original cute plush product that was created to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research, a charity to which The Great British Card Company has donated over £60k.
The Great British Card Company now has 185 different Bebunni cards available including Christmas and Spring and overall sales of Bebunni product now total £480k, which equates to impressive retail sales of around £1.2 million.
Acknowledging the rise of what has become the publisher’s star cute brand, the Group Product Director of The Great British Card Company, Nick Adsett, commented: “Bebunni is now firmly on the way to becoming a must-have product for all UK greetings card retailers. The beautiful illustrations are by our master illustrator Simon Taylor-Kielty, and represent a culmination of over 20 years’ industry experience from Simon on Country Companions and Forever Friends – he has put his heart and soul into these designs”.
