Artist Rose Hill joins Spring Fair for the first time

rose hillSpring Fair will be the first major Birmingham showcase for new designer/artist Rose Hill, whose celebrity clientele already includes Sadie Frost, Robert Webb and Gizzi Erskine.

A new wave of multi-talented designers are now changing the face of traditional stationery, and one of those leading lights is Rose Hill. A combination of hand drawn skills, computer technology and the vision of a designer have come together to create her world of excitement and entrancement.

Working under her name – Rose Hill Designs – she creates images which are at once very modern but still have that ‘English’ quality loved by shoppers in the UK and now overseas.

“I had to buy Rose”s work because I liked her as well as her fab cards. As a small shop owner I always am on the lookout for something different…Rose’s work fills this slot with knobs on . I have no doubt she will be very successful ” says Jane Watling of Watlings Gallery, Lacock Wilts.

Rose works across other media and her fine art portraits are collected by a group of keen followers. She has just completed a major commission for a leading London luxury store.

Robert Webb smallRose Hill is a graduate from Chelsea Art College, in London. Her designs are created by using 64 different repeated patterns within each final illustration. There are eight new ranges in her collection this year. It can be described as retro meets high-tech and very British.

In this collection I have applied my work to greeting cards, notebooks and artworks”.  Themes include animals and iconic items.

Her work has recently been chosen to appear in a film to be released this year called ‘Kids in Love’ being made at Ealing Studios.
