Ten percent of the recommended retail price will be donated to two veterans charities, SSAFA and Combat Stress, which will share any funds raised equally between them.
This year’s fund-raising project follows on from an £11,986.50 donation Frank Ross made to the Royal British Legion from poppy-licensed jewellery in 2014.
Frank Ross has agreed to pay the donation out of the trade price, so the RRP will return a very good margin to the retailer. With consistently strong sales volumes generated from sales of poppy-related jewellery and other products thanks to huge public interest in our armed forces, past and present, the Angelys collection has the potential to generate similarly strong interest in shop displays this season.
Frank Ross comments: “Another important aspect is that we can raise awareness of these two charities that do such very good work in their fields of expertise. We have revamped the designs and with the much higher contribution than last year hope to raise as much as £30,000 this time. The range will be launched at the Autumn Fair. We hope to be signing up lots of new customers all over the UK.
“Retailers stocking the poppies have permission to advertise the contribution and the name of the charities so anyone buying one of our poppies will immediately know how much is being donated and to whom.”
