Offset Charity opens Christmas card portal

Basildon-based Publishing company, Offset Charity has today announced that it is assisting charities to continue selling its Christmas cards and gifts during lockdown by offering free online retail support.

Offset Charity has rewritten its website to become a portal for charities’ online Christmas shops until the end of the year. Visitors can click on any of the charities to go directly to its online store.

The initiative is designed to support charities by encouraging shoppers to purchase Christmas cards that fund essential causes across the country while retail stores are closed during lockdown. According to the Greetings Card Association, £50m is raised for good causes through the sale of charity Christmas cards each year.

Tim Johnson, Sales Director, said: “The charity sector has been hit particularly hard this year. Most charities have an online Christmas shop, and it occurred to us that in the absence of high street stores, we could in a small way help charities promote their online shops. We are offering this support completely free to any charity irrespective if they are one of our customers or not, and of course it’s also free to their supporters.”
