New features for Christmasworld 2013

ChristmasWorldChristmasworld organiser Messe Frankfurt has announced developments for the 2013 show, due to take place from January 25 – 29 and featuring over 1,000 exhibitors from around the world.

Visitors to the trade fair can expect not only a wider range of candles and room fragrances but also a new structure to the product ranges in Halls 8.0 and 9.0.

“In view of the fact that Christmasworld was already almost fully booked in August, we are especially pleased that we have managed not only to satisfy our exhibitors’ wishes for more space but also to optimise the internal structure of the two neighbouring halls,” says Eva Olbrich, Director of Christmasworld. This means that from January 2013, trade buyers can be sure of finding a wider range of candles and room fragrances in Hall 8.0.

At the same time, the ceramics and artificial Christmas trees form a new nucleus for florists’ requisites – with additional key players such as Pusteblume, Reinhold and Floratexx  – and all this in direct proximity to the huge “Window Wonderland” special show.

More than 900 exhibitors from 40 countries will be presenting their new products in the field of seasonal decoration at the show. The uniquely comprehensive range on offer at the world’s leading international trade fair for festive and seasonal decoration is clearly laid out and spread over six halls.

Halls 8.0 and 9.0, with their wide range of florists’ requisites, are the central focus, not only for the horticultural sector, but also for buyers from all retail sectors. In addition, buyers will also find, in Hall 8.0, a large variety of ribbons, wrapping options, candles and room fragrances. New for 2013: Hall 9.0 will offer as its focal points ceramics and artificial flowers and trees, amongst other things, alongside its usual extensive selection of seasonal decorations and party & festive articles.

High-quality presents, original figurines and real collectors’ pieces can be found in Hall 9.1, with its wide range of decorative gifts. Just one level above, in Hall 9.2, the notion of a “world” of decoration is taken literally; national participants from Egypt, China, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine and Vietnam present their own decorative ideas and products, which can also be supplied in large volumes.

Christmas is the great period for decorations: in Hall 11.0, exhibitors will be demonstrating, in the areas of Shop & Display as well as Festive Lighting, just what can be done today – whether  in the home or in large or outdoor spaces such as towns and cities, hotels, shopping centres etc. Anyone who wants to celebrate other spectacular occasions – and not just New Year’s Eve – will find the right people to contact for professional fireworks here, too.

The Christmas theme dominates everywhere in Hall 11.1. Beneath its unique wooden ceiling, this modern exhibition hall offers a range of Christmas and Christmas-tree decorations from the market leaders in the sector, which is unparalleled anywhere in the world. International buyers will find the whole gamut of both traditional and new items for the ‘festival of love and fellowship’ here – from top quality glass baubles to folk art from the Ore mountains and Italian ‘natale’ traditions.

There is a lot afoot, too, when it comes to the staging of trends and events in 2013. Whilst the “Window Wonderland” special show is set to amaze in Hall 9.0 this year, with a real funfair of decorating ideas, Christmasworld Trends are relocating from the Galleria to Hall 11.1, where they will be right in the middle of the Christmas decorations. That is also where the presentation “Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs et Christmasworld” will be located, with the exclusive creation from fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and the added attraction of a photo exhibition of all this year’s designer trees from Paris.

The third new feature in the same hall is the special area for German Christmas Crafts, launched this year. For the first time in Hall 11.0 the Christmasworld Forum offers lots of specialist lectures and practical know-how for the horticultural and floristry sector and the retail trade. This, too, is where the Christmas Garden Market award will be presented for the first time. Anyone interested in taking part in the competition can still apply up until 6 January 2013.
