Carte Blanche acquires Is It Art?

Carte Blanche Group has announced the acquisition of British greeting card, stationery and calendar distributor, Is it Art? from Martin Nevin.

Conversations developed between Is It Art? and Carte Blanche earlier this year concerning the potential of a combined business opportunity. As part of its strategic growth plans Carte Blanche moved quickly to acquire Is It Art?, injecting the capital and expertise it requires to thrive.

The deal sees two of the most influential companies in the industry come together with an unrivaled product selection. Carte Blanche founder and chairman, Stephen Haines, said it was: “A deal we’ve been working on for quite a while and which is a perfect fit for Carte Blanche. It means our reps. will be going on the road with the best portfolio in the industry”.

The exceptional Is it Art? Portfolio includes globally renowned sentiment brand, Blue Mountain Arts, licensing greeting card specialist, Gemma International, calendar giant, Danilo and legendary humour card publisher, Emotional Rescue

Carte Blanche CEO, Alister Marchant comments: “This acquisition is very much part of our long-term plans to represent a comprehensive brand offering across numerous sales platforms.”

Is It Art? has obvious synergies with Carte Blanche Greetings, the largest Independent Greetings Card publisher in the UK, which now offers a comprehensive portfolio of some of the best cute, humour, sentiment, verse, licensed, contemporary and on-trend brands in the UK market.

The Is it Art? business operation and sales force will continue to be run as usual in Warwick whilst Carte Blanche operates from its own headquarters in Chichester.
